Libya’s former permanent representative to the United Nations, Ibrahim Dabbashi, said that Libyan decision to vote in favor of suspending Russia from the UN Human Rights Council is “shameful”.
Dabbashi confirmed in press statements that Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush and Libya’s representative in New York have publicly turned Libya into an entity that is used as a propaganda tool by Western countries against Russia.
The former Libyan delegate to UN pointed out that the vote raises many questions about the source and motives of the decision.
Dabbashi wondered whether the vote was a maneuver from Mangoush to obtain America’s support for its outgoing government to remain in power, or were the instructions issued directly by the US State Department to the representative of Libya.
