A French military medical delegation concluded a visit to the Libyan capital Tripoli by touring the old city of Tripoli to learn about the country’s historic landmarks and artifacts.
According to a statement by the Military Medical Service affiliated with the interim Government of National Unity, the delegation learned about the layout of the old city, its main gates and entrances, squares, and historic landmarks. They were also introduced to the Red Castle, the Filadelfia Tower, and artifacts inside the castle.
Expertise in military medicine
Last Monday, the Director General of the Military Medical Service at the Ministry of Defense, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Rais, discussed with the French Defense Attaché to Libya and the accompanying delegation from the French military medical corps ways to enhance joint cooperation in military medical fields, in a visit the Service said aims to “benefit from the expertise of the French side, and localization of treatment internally for those injured in military operations in different parts of the country.”
