The High Council of State (HCS) has criticized the statement released by the 5+5 Joint Military Committee, in which the committee called on the Libyan government to freeze military deals with all foreign countries, including Turkey.
“The security and border agreements signed by the Government of National Accord (GNA) were expressing the will of the Libyan state,” reads the statement by the council.
The council said that the GNA-signed agreements are “immune from being touched” until a new “elected executive and legislative authorities are established”.
