Members of the High Council of State (HCS) who support consensus on budget approval stressed the critical importance of the parliament’s approval of the budget proposed by the Libyan government headed by Fathi Bashagha.
The members made it clear in a statement that the approval of the budget comes in line with the principle of integration and cooperation of authorities in a way that serves the public interest and contributes to the unity of the state and its institutions.
They stressed the necessity of the Central Bank of Libya’s commitment to disbursing the budget to the Libyan government if approved by the Parliament.
The members called on CBL to be keen to complete the efforts to unify its board of directors, in order to enhance and respect the national sovereign decision and to help achieve the principles of transparency and good governance.
