Benghazi – The Medical Supplies and Equipment Department at the Ministry of Health has warned against the circulation or use of counterfeit packages of Coloverin-D, a medication used to treat irritable bowel syndrome and gastrointestinal cramps.
The department said the warning is based on Fraud Bulletin No. 62 of 2026, issued by the Egyptian Drug Authority, which reported counterfeit packages of the product with batch number A251035.
All medical centers, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies are urged not to distribute or use any packages matching this description. The department stressed the importance of verifying the source of the medicine before dispensing or using it, and called for immediate reporting of any suspected counterfeit or non-compliant drugs.
