The Head of Libyan High National Election Commission (HNEC), Emad al-Sayeh, held talks today with UK Ambassador Martin Longden, focusing on Libya’s electoral process.
According to a brief statement by the HNEC, the two specifically discussed “ways to support the electoral process in Libya, and the level of readiness of the Commission to implement the upcoming elections.”
“Mr. Longden expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Commission in preparation for the municipal council elections, and reiterated his government’s readiness to provide technical and advisory support to the Commission,” said HNEC.
