Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR), Aguila Saleh, discussed with Special Representative of UN Secretary-General, Abdoulaye Bathily, developments of the political situation in Libya.
Saleh met Saturday with Bathily in his office in al-Qubba, where they discussed the efforts made to hold presidential and parliamentary elections, foremost among them what was reached by the 6+6 Joint Committee for the Preparation of Electoral Laws.
During the meeting, Saleh stressed the need to form a unified government in the country whose primary mission is to hold elections.
For his part, the UN Envoy stated that more efforts and consultations must be made to complete the electoral process in response to the desire of the Libyan people.
