Speaker of Libya’s House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, held talks on Sunday with the newly appointed Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Maree Al-Barassi, at Saleh’s office in Qubba.
According to a brief statement by the House Office, the two discussed a number of economic issues, “on top of which were the most prominent developments in the Central Bank of Libya, where he was briefed on the workflow in the bank.”
Al-Barassi was appointed by the House during a parliamentary session last week after his predecessor Ali Al-Hibri reportedly recused him.
