Sirte – The Nephrology Department at Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital in Sirte organized a scientific lecture, Thursday, titled “Pre-Kidney Transplant Preparation for the Patient.” It was presented by Issa Kawalit, a nephrology consultant and president of the Arab Society of Nephrology from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, via closed-circuit technology.
The lecture was attended by the head of the Nephrology Department, the department’s doctors and technicians, and a number of heads of medical departments at the hospital, in addition to medical interns.
The head of the hospital’s Nephrology Department, Mohammed Ashqaq, explained to the Libyan News Agency that this lecture is part of the scientific and training programs organized by the hospital to enhance the efficiency of its medical staff and keep up with the latest scientific developments in various specializations.
He pointed out that the lecturer scientifically discussed the importance of evaluating the physical and psychological condition of patients with kidney failure before undergoing the transplant operation to ensure its success and achieve the desired results.
