The Supreme Council of the Amazigh of Libya announced its welcome of the efforts led by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) regarding the political roadmap.
In a statement on Saturday, the Council stressed the need to move seriously towards ending the division and achieving a comprehensive settlement that meets the aspirations of the Libyans.
It clarified that any political path must be based on a comprehensive dialogue that includes all parties without exclusion, emphasizing the importance of representing all Libyan components in the various upcoming transitional stages, to ensure fair elections that express the will of the people.
The Council also renewed its adherence to the principle that any representation must be through legitimate bodies that genuinely represent their components, ensuring the stability of the political process and the country’s unity.
