Benghazi – The National Development Agency has signed a contract for the National Food Sovereignty Project. This initiative includes the installation of 1,000 center-pivot irrigation circles.
The signing ceremony took place in Benghazi. International partners and representatives from the executing companies attended the event. The U.S. Embassy was also present.
The project aims to establish modern irrigation systems over vast agricultural areas. This will increase agricultural production and improve water resource efficiency. It aligns with state efforts to enhance food security.
Following the reception, Dr. Mahmoud Milad Al-Ferjani met with representatives from Farmtek and its partners. He also met with specialized departments within the Agency. They discussed implementation arrangements to ensure the project meets approved technical standards.
Official speeches during the event highlighted the developmental importance of the project. The ceremony concluded with the signing of the contract between the National Development Agency and Farmtek.
