Identifying buildings at risk of collapse in Tripoli's Al-Akwakh neighborhood in preparation for their evacuation.

Tripoli – The Law Enforcement Department of the General Directorate of Security Operations yesterday, Wednesday, conducted an inspection and examination of four residential buildings on the verge of collapse in the formerly named Al-Akwakh neighborhood in Tripoli, in implementation of instructions issued by the South Tripoli Primary Prosecutor’s Office.

The department clarified that the buildings covered by the inspection and examination are (1, 12, 13, and 14), and the process was conducted in the presence of a representative from the Savings and Real Estate Investment Bank.

In a statement, the department indicated that the inspection and examination included a survey of the residential units and their occupants in preparation for making decisions to evacuate them to avoid any potential disaster.

The department also conducted investigations to verify that the occupants of the properties possess the official documents and legal procedures that authorize them to reside there.
