Misrata – The Customs Center at the Misrata Free Zone Port has issued an urgent directive to all shipping agencies operating at the port. The order bans the shipping or import of all types of agricultural pesticides, in any form, through the Misrata Free Zone Port or any other Libyan entry point.
According to the center, the decision was made in line with instructions from the Prime Minister’s Office of the Government of National Unity. These instructions relate to regulating the import of chemical and agricultural products.
The center stressed that any violation of this directive will hold agencies and shipping lines legally and judicially accountable. Unauthorized shipments will not be allowed to be unloaded within the customs area of the port under any circumstances.
