The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy announced the installation of new distribution panels to support the stability of the electrical grid in the city of Tobruk and its suburbs, with funding from the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund.
The Emergency Committee for the Stability of the Electrical Grid supervised the implementation of the works, with direct field follow-up to ensure the quality of execution.
An 800-capacity distribution panel was installed at the Al-Senussi station in the Al-Nasr neighborhood to protect the transformer from direct connections and to regulate load distribution safely and effectively.
A new distribution panel was also installed at the Ahmed Al-Ashibi station in the Al-Andalus neighborhood and connected to the transformer via a single-phase (1×400) cable on the North Tobruk distribution circuit, to alleviate the load on the existing panel and improve electrical performance efficiency.
These measures are part of a comprehensive plan to address electrical bottlenecks and achieve grid stability, contributing to ensuring the continuity of the electrical supply and alleviating the suffering of citizens.
