Italian service provider Deepblue Energy Services is eyeing opportunities in the Libyan energy and economic sectors as it seeks to deploy its green drilling solutions for the oil, gas and geothermal industries in Africa.
The company’s Managing Director, Luigi Liberatore, recently participated at the 2024 Libya Energy and Economic Summit, held in mid January, during which he hoped to “gain some inside information” about the country’s energy and economic landscaped.
“We are currently not engaged in Libya,” he told the Energy Capital and Power platform. “We are earnestly exploring opportunities in the Libyan energy and economic sectors.”
“We do not have a project in Libya currently but we have supported drilling projects in the Country previously,” he said. “Being part of this summit helped me gain some inside information, and hopefully we will make it happen with the demand for clean technology, which is something new for Libya.”
