Italy has made available 240,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to be donated to Libya in an effort to aid the country in the fight against COVID-19, according to press reports.
This comes as Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio visits Libya on Monday.
During a meeting with Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh earlier today, Di Maio reiterated that Italy is on “your side, we will continue to support you.”
