Member of the State Council, Adel Karmous, confirmed that the session of the State Council today was postponed after the release of a statement by the Dbeibah government, which he described as threatening.
Karmos said in a press statement, “the false statement of the Dbeibah government claimed that those who prevented the session from convening were civilian demonstrators.”
On Monday, the State Council, headed by Khaled Al-Mashri, issued a statement confirming that an armed militia affiliated with Abdel Hamid Dbeibah prevented members of the Council from entering the meeting room in which the council’s session will be held today, noting that it had deployed armed vehicles in front of the council’s headquarters.
