Kufra — An initiative has been launched in the city of Kufra to distribute fuel free of charge to patients suffering from heart and kidney diseases, as well as oncology patients. The initiative has designated one day per week to facilitate the patients’ commute to treatment centers.
Speaking to the Libyan News Agency, Abdelkrim Bouharg, the manager of Station 383—which is overseeing the project—stated that the initiative aims to support patients in need. He confirmed that the station verifies beneficiaries’ eligibility through the review of their submitted medical documents and reports.
The Kufra branch of the General Administration of Central Support, in coordination with the Kufra Security Directorate, organized the distribution process to ensure a smooth flow of traffic and guarantee that patients could access the service easily without overcrowding.
Bouharg noted that the initiative will continue to cover all cases requiring periodic travel, expressing his gratitude to the security authorities for their cooperation and support in ensuring the success of the operation.
