The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) praised the measures taken by the Attorney General regarding encroachment on the coastal gas pipeline.
NOC said it had received a copy of the letter sent by the Attorney General Siddiq al-Soor to the Director of the Law Enforcement Department and the Head of the Petroleum Facilities Guard, regarding the violations against the coastal gas transmission network and their request to remove those violations that are represented in buildings and facilities and any activity carried out within the sanctity of the gas pipeline, specified as 50 meters on each side.
The Corporation valued this measure, stressing that this would contribute to mitigating the danger posed by these violations and encroachments on the gas pipeline to citizens, and the threat they posed to gas operations, which are the main artery feeding power plants, water desalination and a number of industrial facilities.
