Libya records 2139 new cases, 30 deaths of COVID-19

Libya records 2139 new cases, 30 deaths of COVID-19

The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) has reported on Tuesday that 2,139 new people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 19 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 30 people died of the virus, while 1,073 have recovered during the same reporting period.

The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 258,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 194,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.

The virus has claimed the lives of 3,609 people in total, while 693,676 people were vaccinated.
