The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Tuesday that 512 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 13 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 8 others died of the virus, while 1,102 have recovered during the same reporting period.
105 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 379,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 366,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 5,569 people in total. Over a million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 757,000 were fully vaccinated with two doses.
