The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Tuesday that 626 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 7 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 3 others died of the virus, while 183 have recovered during the same reporting period.
98 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have reached more than 500,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 489,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 6,411 people in total. Over two million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while over one million were fully vaccinated with two doses.
