The General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA) extended on Monday its deep condolences to the Sultanate of Oman for the victims of the floods that struck the state of Al Mudhaibi.
LNA statement said: “Today, the General Command of the Libyan National Army received with great sadness the news of the floods that struck the state of Al-Mudhaibi and a number of regions of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, resulting in casualties, injuries and the loss of a number of citizens.”
It added: “In this regard, the General Command of the Libyan National Army extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the leadership, government and people of the sister Sultanate of Oman, and to the families of the victims with the most sincere feelings of sympathy, praying to God to shower them with His mercy and to return the missing persons safely to their families.”
On Sunday, the search and rescue sector in the Sultanate of Oman announced that 12 deaths had been recorded as a result of people being swept away in their vehicles due to the floods.
