The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) has reported on Wednesday that 692 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 14 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 10 others died of the virus, while 1,324 have recovered during the same reporting period.
217 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 343,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 266,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 4,720 people in total. Over a million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 253,000 were fully vaccinated with two doses.
