Libyan Health Minister, Ali al-Zanati, agreed in a meeting with World Health Organization (WHO) representative in Libya, Elizabeth Hoff, and her accompanying delegation, to provide 3 oxygen factories in coordination with the Italian side.
The meeting discussed coordination mechanism and intensification of efforts to confront Coronavirus pandemic, reviewing and drawing up health policies and strategies, identifying the necessary and important priorities facing isolation centers, and working to find solutions to them in cooperation with WHO, the Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
Hoff affirmed the full commitment to cooperation to confront COVID-19, and rapid coordination to provide the most important needs of medicines and medical supplies, according to the statement.
Coordination was also made for cooperation in developing a strategy to develop the health system, including ambulance, emergency and village hospitals, and preparing a strategy for child health and mental illness, with coordination to cooperate to provide medicines for AIDS patients for a period of six months, it added.
