GNU dismisses Head of NCDC

The Cabinet of the Government of National Unity (GNU) removed Dr. Badr Al-Din Al-Najjar from the presidency of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) and appointed Dr. Haider Al-Sayeh as his successor, after the catastrophic failure in COVID-19 file, according to 218 TV.

It is noteworthy that the total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded 271,000 since the start of the pandemic, while only about 782,000 people were vaccinated, according to NCDC.

Isolation centers in Libya suffer from poor capabilities, most notably lack of oxygen.
