The Libyan General National Maritime Transport Company (GNMTC) announced on Friday the rescue of 28 Syrian migrants in the Mediterranean, who were in dire need of assistance.
GNMTC’s Anwar Libya ship found a rubber boat with migrants on board off the coast of Tripoli, where it provided assistance to them as a humanitarian and moral duty, the Company said in a statement.
The migrants included women and children, and the ship’s crew provided them with medical assistance, then headed them to the Tripoli port station, the statement pointed out.
