Libyan mayors called on Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, and Health Minister Ali Al-Zanati to “urgently and quickly” intervene to support the isolation centers in their municipalities amid spread of Coronavirus infections across the country.
Mayors of the western mountain towns of Al-Rajban, Jado, Al-Rahibat, Kabao and Al-Haraba said the health system in their towns faces “semi collapse” due to lack of oxygen, medicines and medical operators.
The mayors described the epidemiological situation in their towns as “out of control”. They called on Dbeibeh and Zanati to visit the towns and review the deteriorating health system.
