Libyan House of Representatives Speaker Aguila Saleh met Sunday with members of the House of Representatives representing the Cyrenaica region, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister for Cyrenaica, Ali Al-Qatrani.
The meeting, held at his office in the city of Al-Qubba, focused on the latest political developments in the country.
The attending MPs praised the Speaker’s efforts in maintaining the unity of the House of Representatives and in advancing its institutional performance.
Speaker Saleh emphasized the importance of ensuring that all regions in Libya receive their fair share, underlining the need for justice and equality among Libyans without exclusion or marginalization, particularly in light of what he described as the “burdens of extreme centralization.”
The MPs also reaffirmed their support for the efforts of the General Command of the Libyan National Army in stabilizing the country, as well as their full backing of ongoing reconstruction and development projects being implemented by the Libyan Reconstruction and Development Fund.
