A number of Libyan political blocs have called in a joint statement on members of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) to hold an emergency session to change the Government of National Unity (GNU) headed by Abdel Hamid Dbeibah.
“This executive body has bypassed the road map and ignored it, including not starting its work from Sirte, not unifying state institutions, concluding agreements outside the scope of the authority granted to it, developing programs that violate the road map emanating from the United Nations, in addition to its desire to prolong the crisis and continue in power for longer time,” the statement said.
“We invite you (LPDF memebers) to meet in your homeland to consult and give priority to the voice of truth to come out with a consensual executive body to end this absurdity and complete the agreed path to bring the country to safety, which is the upcoming elections,” it added.
