Benghazi – Libyan Prime Minister Dr. Osama Hamad congratulated the General Commander of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Abu al-Qasim Haftar, along with military leaders, officers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers, and the families of martyrs and the wounded on the 86th anniversary of the founding of the Libyan Army.
In his message, Hamad said the anniversary is an opportunity to remember the army’s role in safeguarding national sovereignty and protecting Libyan territory. He emphasized that the military institution stands as a pillar of the state in facing challenges.
Hamad said the sacrifices of armed forces members remain a fundamental part of Libya’s national memory. He praised the martyrs who gave their lives for the country.
The prime minister stressed the importance of preserving, supporting, and strengthening the military’s role in protecting Libya’s security and stability, in recognition of the sacrifices of the martyrs and the efforts of armed forces members.
Hamad concluded his statement by saluting the Libyan Army on its founding anniversary and all its members who bear the honor of defending the nation.
