The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced Tuesday that its subsidiary Mellitah Oil and Gas Company completed re-drilling the Fourth Well in the El Feel field, with a production capacity of about 3,500 barrels of oil per day.
NOC Chairman, Farhat Bengdara, “praised all the national efforts that contributed to achieving this work,” NOC said in a statement.
The Corporation noted out that restoring the well to production comes within its plan to improve and raise the level of crude oil production.
NOC aspires to increase oil production to 2 million barrels per day. Libya currently produces about 1.2 million barrels per day.
