Marshal Haftar Affirms Support for Sudanese Unity and Stability

Marshal Khalifa Haftar, General Commander of the Libyan National Army, reaffirmed his position on Sudanese affairs during a recent meeting with Chief of Staff Abdul Raziq al-Nadhouri and other military leaders on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. Emphasizing Libya’s stance, Haftar expressed strong support for Sudanese unity and the territorial integrity of Sudan. He called upon Sudanese nationals to cease internal hostilities and prioritize peaceful dialogue to resolve differences.

Addressing recent allegations, Haftar categorically dismissed claims linking Libyan forces to any faction in Sudan as unfounded and misleading. He underscored the importance of clarity and truth in international relations, rejecting any attempts to undermine Libya’s commitment to regional stability.

Haftar highlighted the achievements of the Libyan National Army in restoring security, stability, and promoting national reconciliation within Libya. He praised the efforts of Libyan communities and emphasized the role of tribal leaders and intellectuals in promoting unity and reconciliation among the Libyan people.

Regarding Libya’s internal affairs, Haftar stressed the nation’s capacity to independently address and resolve crises without external interference. He reiterated the importance of maintaining professional military standards and building a strong, capable Libyan military force.

In terms of foreign policy, Haftar reaffirmed Libya’s principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of neighboring countries. He emphasized the necessity of fostering mutual respect and cooperation among neighboring nations to ensure regional security and stability.

Marshal Khalifa Haftar’s statements reflect Libya’s commitment to internal unity, professional military conduct, and respect for regional sovereignty. His remarks underscore Libya’s efforts to contribute positively to regional stability while addressing domestic challenges through internal dialogue and reconciliation.
