Mohamed al-Menfi, Chairman of Libya’s Presidential Council, held talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday on the margins of the Turkish-African Relations summit in Istanbul, according to a statement by the Presidential Council.
The two discussed “the latest developments in the political process in Libya” and specifically the Libyan presidential and parliamentary elections, the council said.
According to the council, Erdogan stressed called for the Libyan executive authority to continue its work “until fair presidential and parliamentary elections are held under to a constitutional basis, which all Libyans agree to.”
