The President of the Libyan Presidential Council (PC), Mohamed al-Menfi, met Saturday with the President of China, Chen Jinping, on the sidelines of the first Arab-Chinese summit, held in Saudi Arabia.
The two parties reviewed during the meeting the return of Chinese companies to work in Libya and to contribute to development, said PC President’s Media Office.
The Chinese president linked the resumption of Chinese companies’ work to the achievement of stability and security in Libya, according to the Office.
Al-Menfi also stressed that “achieving stability and security requires the support of the friendly state of China, to move forward in achieving the electoral process, ending the transitional stages, and achieving comprehensive national reconciliation.”
