Benghazi – The Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Atef Al-Obeidi, stressed the vital role played by the College of Islamic Studies in promoting Islamic education and instilling the values of moderation and temperance in society.
This came during an expanded meeting he held, Monday, with the Dean of the College, Dr. Saad Al-Hamidi, and faculty members at the Ministry’s headquarters in the city of Benghazi.
Minister Al-Obeidi emphasized the necessity of adhering to academic regulations and bylaws that ensure the quality of the educational process, praising the college’s efforts in preparing preachers and educators capable of carrying out their mission with responsibility and awareness.
For his part, the Dean of the College gave a presentation on the college’s establishment and its stages of development, reviewing future plans to develop academic programs and overcome the challenges facing the educational process.
The meeting concluded with an extensive discussion in which the Minister listened to suggestions from the faculty members on ways to enhance performance and achieve the desired goals in the field of Islamic education.
