Benghazi – The Libyan Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy sent a team of engineers to Egypt. The engineers were from the General Electricity Company. Their goal was to examine the latest technologies. These technologies are used by Egyptian companies specializing in electrical transformer manufacturing.
The engineering team visited Egy Trafo, an Egyptian company. They observed various facilities and factories. The team also saw production lines. They reviewed modern technologies. These are used in electrical transformer manufacturing.
Engineer Atef Abdel Moneim met with the Libyan engineers. He is the Chairman of Egy Trafo. Mr. Moneim conveyed greetings to Engineer Awad Al-Badri. Al-Badri is the Libyan Government’s Minister of Electricity. Mr. Moneim explained the factory’s operations. He detailed the manufacturing of oil-filled electrical transformers. These transformers offer capacities up to 15 MVA. They also handle voltages up to 33 kilovolts.
The company chairman discussed future plans with the Libyan engineers. These plans include producing larger transformers. Their capacity will reach 40 megawatts. He also mentioned dry-type transformers. Smart transformers equipped with advanced monitoring and control systems were discussed. Automatic voltage regulation transformers were another topic. Nickel-cadmium batteries were also covered.
The Libyan engineering team toured the Egyptian company’s factory. They learned about the production stages of oil-filled and dry-type transformers. The team visited the iron core factory. They also saw the testing complex. A quality inspection laboratory was included in the tour. The team observed the approved inspection and testing mechanisms. These mechanisms ensure the final product’s quality.
