Benghazi – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has assigned specialized committees to follow up on the procedures of the House of Representatives and the Legislative Committee regarding the issuance of an amendment to Law No. (2) of 2021 concerning political and consular work.
This came during the twenty-seventh meeting of the technical departments, chaired by Foreign Minister Abdul Hadi Al-Hweij, which addressed several important technical and administrative issues, in addition to reviewing observations related to the Social Solidarity Fund for the ministry’s employees, and listening to a report from the Department of International Organizations on the activities of the Red Cross.
The departments of International Organizations, Civil Society, and International Cooperation were tasked with coordinating a meeting with partner entities from ministries, authorities, institutions, and civil society organizations, to determine the needs for 2026 and ensure that programs align with actual requirements.
Preparations for the opening of the Sudanese community school in the city of Al-Marj were also reviewed, as part of the ministry’s efforts to enhance communication with Libyan communities abroad.
