Benghazi – Libya’s Ministry of Health announced that the “Visiting Health Worker” program continues to provide primary health care services to residents in the Tigrhay area. The program is organized by the ministry in partnership with the Khalifa International Foundation for Humanitarian Works. Medical teams conduct field visits to health facilities and citizens’ homes to ensure that targeted groups receive medical care.
The ministry said the team delivers screening, examination, follow-up, and health assessment services. They also provide health awareness and guidance, referring cases that require specialized medical care. This allows citizens to access necessary treatment, especially those unable to reach health centers.
The ministry stated that this program is part of efforts to strengthen primary health care and widen medical coverage, particularly in areas with limited access to services. Previous field visits have been conducted in several regions to bring health services closer to people. These efforts follow government directives and the 2030 vision of the General Command to improve health services and expand access across the country.
