Ministry of Transport plans to develop Libya-Tunisia Ras Jedir border crossing

Last Thursday, at the Ras Jedir border crossing between Libya and Tunisia, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for Ministerial Affairs, Wissam Khalifa Al-Idrisi, held a meeting to follow up on the progress of work at the border crossing.

In an interview with Libya Herald, the Director of the Information Office at the Ministry of Transport, Siraj Al-Hamal, said the meeting came to solve bottlenecks, especially overcrowding, and work to provide the best services to citizens at the crossing.

He emphasized the Ministry of Transport of the Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba government’s support for the process of developing the border crossing and equipping it with the latest equipment and advanced technologies. This is to contribute to reducing the congestion of travellers in both directions, in partnership with the security services, including passports and customs, while providing the necessary assistance in resolving all outstanding problems with the Tunisian side.
