Murzuq – The mayor of Murzuq met with members of the city’s Social Council to discuss a series of service and social issues affecting the community. The talks focused on speeding up reconstruction projects and improving public services for residents.
According to the municipal council, the meeting addressed procedures for handing over completed housing units and preparations for the return of displaced families. The discussion also covered the completion of remaining housing projects and plans to repair neighborhoods that have not yet been renovated, in coordination with the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund.
Both sides emphasized the need for stronger cooperation between the municipality and the Social Council. They agreed this would help speed up reconstruction efforts, create better conditions for residents returning to the city, and support development and stability in Murzuq.
The meeting also tackled several social issues and explored ways to strengthen community bonds and social cohesion among all parts of the city. The parties underscored the importance of ongoing coordination to ensure progress on reconstruction and service projects, with the goal of achieving stability and development in Murzuq.
