Benghazi – The Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces, Naval Lieutenant General Shoaib Youssef Al-Saber, received the French Military Attaché to Libya and his accompanying delegation on Tuesday during an official visit to the Benghazi Naval Base.
According to a statement issued by the Chief of Staff’s office, the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the Libyan Naval Forces and their French counterpart, especially in the areas of naval training and the exchange of technical expertise, in addition to supporting joint efforts in combating illegal immigration by sea.
The meeting was attended by the Commander of the Benghazi Naval Base, Naval Brigadier General Obeid Jouda, and Engineer Brigadier General Omar Al-Maslati, Advisor to the Chief of Staff for Technical Affairs.
At the conclusion of the visit, Lieutenant General Shoaib Al-Saber presented a commemorative gift to the French Military Attaché, affirming the Libyan naval institution’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with friendly nations in areas of mutual interest.
