Libya’s new foreign minister, Hafed Gaddur, will take oath of office before the speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, on Tuesday, Gaddur announced via statement on Facebook yesterday.
Gaddur, who is serving in the cabinet of Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha, was kidnapped, and later released, by a militia in Tripoli last week.
In a statement to Italian news agency Ansa following his release, Gaddur accused outgoing premier Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh of ordering the kidnapping.
