Major General Khalid Haftar, the newly-appointed Chief of Staff of the Libyan National Army (LNA), took the constitutional oath on Thursday before the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces, Aguila Saleh, the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The oath-taking ceremony was held in the city of Al-Qubbah and was attended by the chiefs of staff of the various armed forces branches and a number of senior military commanders.
