Oil guards threaten to close three ports in northern Libya

Members of the Oil Facilities Guards in Libya have threatened to close three oil ports if their salaries are not increased, according to a report by the Libyan Al-Wasat news website.

The guards, who work to secure the oil parts of Sidra, Harouge and Ras Lanouf, asked to adjust their wages to those of employees at the National Oil Corporation (NOC), which recently were increased to 67 percent off.
