Zliten – The General Electricity Company announced on Sunday that technical teams from the High Voltage Department in Zliten are continuing washing and cleaning work on the electrical grid at the 220 kV station at the Al-Burj Cement plant, as part of a field plan to improve performance efficiency and reduce failure rates.
In an official statement, the company clarified that this work is being carried out in cooperation with the Arab Union for Contracting Company, as part of its efforts to maintain the electrical grid’s components and its operational readiness.
The company confirmed that cleaning and washing electrical insulators is part of a comprehensive plan targeting several areas, aimed at ensuring the continuity of the electricity supply to citizens and avoiding potential crises caused by accumulated dust or weather conditions that affect the grid’s efficiency.
It noted that maintenance teams are working on a specific schedule, taking all necessary safety precautions to ensure the work is completed to the required standard.
