The General Electricity Company announced the start of operational testing for the third gas unit at the Al-Zawiya power plant after the completion of major maintenance and required technical preparations.
The company’s media office said the unit will be connected to the national grid once it passes operational tests. The unit has a production capacity of 220 megawatts. This addition is expected to boost overall electricity generation and help stabilize the grid.
