The Libyan outgoing government, led by Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, said its forces dealt with the new Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha’s attempt to “infiltrate Tripoli to create terror and chaos among its residents, using weapons and violence.”
The government said in a statement that it instructed all security forces to “confront and deal harshly with everyone who threatens people’s security and safety.”
It called on all other countries and international parties to “condemn these behaviors, and consider anyone who acts this way will never be fit to be a party to any dialogue or political agreement.”
