Parliament Speaker, National Security Advisor discuss Libya elections

The Designated Speaker of the Libyan Parliament, Fawzi al-Nuwairi, held a meeting with the Libyan National Security Advisor, Ibrahim Bushnaf, Wednesday in Tripoli where they discussed several issues including the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.

The two parties also discussed the most prominent issues related to national security and the repercussions thereof due to the failure of holding the elections on time.

They agreed on the need for all Libyan parties to agree on a road map that would make the electoral process successful, and to ensure acceptance of its results by addressing all the obstacles that prevented it from taking place on its previous scheduled date.

The meeting dealt with a number of security, political and economic files, their impact on Libyan national security, and the mechanisms of possible and necessary solutions to address them.
