Vice President of the Libyan Presidential Council (PC), Abdalla al Lafi, discussed Wednesday with the President of Congo, Chairman of the African Union High-level Committee on Libya, Denis Sassou Nguesso, in the Congolese city of Oyo, the Libyan-Congolese relations and the latest political developments in Libya.
The Congolese president made clear his interest in the Libyan issue, stressing the support of the African Union, through the High-level Committee to get out of the Libyan crisis, to achieve stability and the success of the national reconciliation project launched by the Presidential Council, which paves the way for the holding of the Libyan elections.
In turn, Al-Lafi valued the efforts of President Sassou Nguesso, through his presidency of the AU High-level Committee on Libya, which aims to achieve stability and build a civil and democratic state, so that Libya can exercise its regional and international role.
Al-Lafi arrived on Wednesday evening at Olombo Airport, and was received by the Congolese Minister of Defense, and immediately went to meet the Congolese President at the presidential palace.
